From what I can tell this stunner of a flower belongs to some part of the Ipomoea family, but it’s hard to tell which one. Perhaps a “Cairo Morning Glory” (which might fit with it being spotted in Kenya).
Sadly the focus on the photo isn’t quite right, but I loved the flower so much I decided I’d keep the shot as a reminder.
