Remote Capture

As is so often the case at any music event these days, the phones come out and start recording.

I find doing so immediately removes one from the space – suddenly it is you and your phone, remotely viewing the concert, you are no longer present at the gig.

For some reason I don’t get get same feeling when I use a viewfinder in a camera – but I do get the same sensation if I use the screen on the back of my camera. Funny how that is. A viewfinder is nothing more than a small screen – so I’m not sure why it feels so different to me.
